Clay Tucker officially plays basketball for Real Madrid. The American guard thus becomes the second player signed for the 2010/11 season after a sensational year with DKV Joventut. "It is a pleasure to be here. I want to thank the club for giving me this opportunity. I am anxious for the season to start and I hope it is a successful year," said Tucker.

Clay Tucker:
"This is a great club with a lot of history. After playing in Seville and Badalona, this is a major step in my career. I am very happy to be playing for this great team and I cannot wait for the season to begin."

"I don’t feel any pressure whatsoever. It all depends on a person’s self-confidence. You must accept the challenges that life presents, and I like taking on challenges and responsibilities. My goal is to work hard every day and to take each game as it comes."

"Ettore Messina and I have spoken. He wants us to stay focused all season long and he places a lot of emphasis on details. I am looking forward to playing for him because he is a very ambitious coach."

"My teammates are all great players and it will be nice to play by their sides. There are 10-12 great players here and each one of them knows what his role is. I know I will fit in and I am ready for the role that the coach assigns to me. I am sure I won’t have any trouble being a member of this team."

"Thank you for accepting me here. It will be a pleasure to play for Madridistas."

Juan Carlos Sanchez:
"Clay is a magnificent player and person. We are interested in players who are familiar with the ACB and Euroleague, and Clay knows both competitions. I am sure he will contribute a lot."
