After the unsatisfactory season, EWE Baskets Oldenburg fans got an early summer present by holding on to fan favorite Rickey Paulding (196-G-82, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Missouri) for another two seasons until 2014. Paulding is 29 year old 196cm guard from Detroit, Michigan that played together with Fraport Skyliner Jimmy Mckinney at Missouri and got first professional basketball experience in Israel and France, but continues to love Germany and the Beko BBL as he will play his sixth season in Oldenburg next season. The 2009 beko BBL champion played 34 games last season in the Beko BBL averaging 12,4ppg, 3,8rpg and 1,8apg while hitting 53,9% from the field and a very respectible 40,2% from the parking lot. 'I am very happy that we were able to keep him so quickly. He continues to show that he is a dependable and hard working player like the years before. He has values like respect, discipline and boundless committment. He is a basketball role model for the fans and has appreciation from the whole league', stressed EWE Baskets Oldenburg CEO Hermann Schuller.
